El Infiernito!

This picture is about my trip to El Infiernito. In that picture appear three girls; Juliana, Cristina and me(Lucía). El Infiernito was the Muisca's solar observatory, there they predicted when would it rain, how would the period of food be until, etc. We were taking the picture on a monument of the fertility, there were a lot in there. In El Infiernito we were very happy and passed a great time!!
They made El Infiernito taking acount the 4 phases of the moon. After the Muiscas went of that territory some people discovered it again and told that El Infiernito was not good (in a religious way) and put it that name. Many years after other people discovered that it wasn't bad and that it was a solar observatory, they told that the Muiscas had a great method for knowing what would happen in periods of time and that it wasn't bad and they didn't take the name Infiernito.

My legacy

My legacy will be my message after all the work I had made when I grow up (be an adult).
Well, I have many interesting projects to choose for when I grow up, but, the most interesting for me is having a project about being a marine biologist and helping whales (especially Orcas) not to extinct.
I have some steps for my project and are very interesting, this are:
* I will graduate from Gimnasio La Montaña.
* I will go to Australia to study marine biology.
* After, I will have a TV program about saving whales and after I will be very recognized in the world by my work and Sea World will ask me if I could work there like an Orca whale trainer, well like that is the dream of my life, I will accept.
* I will have much money because in Sea World they pay very well. I will have a bobtail dog whose name will be Bruno or Toby but if it’s a girl her name will be Annie or June.
* Time after I will marry and I will have a pair of twins, two boys. They will be very intelligent and will graduate from Oxford University.
* When I got retired from work I will go to live in Oxford where my son’s live.
Well, now that you know my steps of my project you will know what my legacy is about.

The smallest snake on Earth!

The 4th of august scientists discovered the world's smallest snake on Earth!!
It is less than 4 inches long and it's similar to a piece of spaghetti. Penn State University biologist found this snake on 2006, S. Blair Hedges discovered it hidden under a rock on an island on the Caribbean sea. This biologist named it Leptotyphlops carlae or L. carlae in honor of his wife named Carla. Or this snake is also called worm snake. There are 3 worm snakes known on Earth-one on London and two on a Caribbean museum in Martinique.
To verify if this specimens are from a new specie they measured an adult snake, at least one male and one female from each other specie and compared the sizes and weights of the snakes (the snakes that they measured were all the species known).
Then Hedge studied all the physical characteristics of the snake including color patterns and scales, and finally he could prove that those snakes are a new specie.

Well, while larger snakes can put 100 eggs at one time and this snake can put only one enormous egg at one time. This egg measures half-size of the full grown mini snake."Although the snake looks like a worm, Hedges was sure it wasn't. "[Scientist who study amphibians and reptiles] have a sixth sense about these animals," he said. "We know a snake when we see one."
Many of the world's smallest animals have been discovered in the Caribbean.

The smallest lizard was discovered in the Dominican Republic and the smallest frog, bird and bee were all found in Cuba. The largest animals are also found on islands. Most of the L. carlae's habitat has been destroyed by deforestation. Hedges believes that shrinking habitat could drive the animal to extinction. "New and interesting species are being discovered on Caribbean islands, despite the very small amount of natural forests remaining," Hedges said.
